Determining the optimal beach slope for specific material characterization is critical for the effective design of a TSF but unfortunately is always a challenge. This is particularly difficult when utilizing small bench-scale test units to obtain an accurate and representative result.

MINEXXT provides pilot-scale open channel flumes, that have an adjustable beach slope, load cells for measuring the material mass, and a collection box also fitted with load cells which measures the volume of discharge and dewatering rates.
